Nana Akufo-Addo, according to Mrs Osei, polled 5, 716, 026 votes in 271 constituencies to emerge winner in his third presidential attempt.

The 72-year-old polled 5,341,146 votes representing 53.51% in the 2016 elections to give him an edge over the ruling National Democratic Congress leader Mahama, who garnered 4,457,672 votes representing 44.66% of the total votes.

Source; 3news. com - The now President of Ghana,  New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has emerged winner of the polls in the Jaman North Constituency of the Brong Ahafo Region. 

The elections in that constituency were postponed by 24 hours after political party agents – the National Democratic Congress’ in particular – raised concerns with the voter register.
