Source: citifmonline. com - Angry youth of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Savelugu constituency of the Northern Region, have demonstrated against the Savelugu Municipal Chief Executive, Abdulai Alhassan Red. 

The demonstration was organized in Savelugu Township by a group calling itself the Concerned Youth of NDC. 

The protestors held placards some of which read, ‘Reinstate Mr. Iddrisu Buglung or forget Savelugu seat,’ ‘Mahama must do something,’ ‘Savelugu is zero in development,’ and ‘No Buglung no vote.’

Source Daily Guide Africa - The New Patriotic Party (NPP) seems to have been vindicated for continually claiming that names of foreigners are in the voter register so it must be cleaned.

This follows the detection of a man who holds both Ghana and Togo voter ID cards in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.

Both voter ID cards bear the same picture but there are slight differences in the names and the way they are spelt on both of them.

Source: GNA - The Judiciary, as part of its preparedness towards the resolution of electoral disputes that may arise from the 2016 general election, would intensify training of Judges.

A Justice of the Supreme Court, Mr Victor Jones Mawulorm Dotse, explained that the training programme was to make the Judges fully aware of the new legislation that had been passed by Parliament for the Electoral Commission (EC) to undertake the 2016 elections.

Source: TV3network. com - Thirteen executives of the New Patriotic Party at the Ablekuma West Constituency in Accra have resigned from the party ahead of today’s primary to elect a parliamentary candidate.

Led by the former constituency chairman, Theophilus Tetteh, the executives announced their resignation Friday night on TV3’s News @10. Their resignation stemmed from a protracted disagreement over the constituency’s voters’ register.
