Major stakeholders have called for an independent forensic audit of the voters register which in their opinion is marred with anomalies.

The Ghana Police Service has said they will prosecute culprits involved in the act through the Attorney General’s Department.

Policy Analyst of the People’s National Convention (PNC) Atik Mohammed has predicted that his party will win ten parliamentary seats in the Northern Region in the 2016 general election.

The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Hemang/Lower Denkyira, Mr Bright Brobby, has challenged the rank and file of the party to continue to reach out to the grassroots to preach the message of unity since the party is ready for political power. 

The Police in Upper East have called into question claims by First National Vice Chairman of the main opposition New Patriotic Party, Freddy Blay, that he was attacked during Tuesday’s by-elections in Talensi.

Blay Tuesday claimed he had been attacked by machete-wielding members of the dreaded pro-government vigilante group Azorka Boys, and had subsequently sought medical help at the Regional Hospital.
