EC identifies 81 violent-prone areas ahead of elections

Source: Daily Graphic Ghana - The Electoral Commission (EC) has identified 81 constituencies out of the 275 as possible violent-prone areas before, during and after the 2016 general election.

The Chairperson of the EC, Mrs Charlotte Osei, who announced this, said the EC had started a project, together with the Ghana Police Service, to map out all the polling stations in the country, especially those in the flashpoints, to ensure adequate security at all polling centres and the EC’s regional offices.

Source: asempanews. com - Edmund Kyei has aimed a swipe at President John Mahama by insisting his ‘one house, one meter’ promise smacks of desperation and an attempt to interfere in the work of the Electricity Company of Ghana.

The NPP communicator says such “fanciful promises” are only meant to deceive the Ghanaian people, after eight years of bad leadership.

Source: citifmonline. com - The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has rejected President John Mahama’s claims that the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA), is already constructing dams and dugouts in the northern part of the country. 

President John Mahama on Tuesday shot down the one-village one-dam campaign promise made by the NPP flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo saying SADA was already doing it.
