Source: 3news. com - The Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC) has called on Ghanaians to exercise some patience as it continues to collate results of Wednesday’s presidential polls.

It says so far – as of 24 hours after the polls – it has received results of just 90 out of 275 constituencies and will make them public “soon”.

Source: Daily Graphic Ghana - The Electoral Commission has called for calm following an announcement by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) indicating that the party has won the presidential elections per their projections.
At a press conference Thursday, the Director of Elections, Mr Samuel Tettey said the Commission was yet to receive any certified results from the collation centres across the country.

Source: Daily Graphic Ghana - The residence of pollster and Managing Editor of the Daily Dispatch newspaper, Ben Ephson is under siege by persons suspected to be supporters of the New Patriotic Party.

A team of policemen from the rapid deployment unit, (Formed ) are keeping the guard at the Kanda residence of the pollster who shortly before the general elections predicted a win for President Mahama and a poor performance by the other minority parties apart from the NPP.

Source: classfmonline. com - Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK, Mr Victor Smith, has lost his bid for the Abuakwa North seat for the second time, according to provisional results from the collation centre.

Mr Smith, who contested on the ticket of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), got 11,740 votes.

Addressing the press on Thursday, the National Youth Organizer of the NPP, Sammy Awuku said they have won about 149 seats.
