Hours after the declaration of the NPP’s flag bearer, Nana Akufo-Addo by the Electoral Commission (EC) as Ghana’s president-elect, reports of alleged vandalism and assaults perpetrated by supporters of the NPP percolated the media.

Meanwhile, the Western Regional secretary of the National Democratic Congress NDC), Joe Nelson, has called on the public to ignore the claims of the NPP saying they have no basis for their demands.

The party is alleging some irregularities in the counting and collation of results in the Ellembelle, Aowin, Suaman, Amenfi Cental, and Juaboso constituencies.

All the constituencies in question have largely been strongholds of the NDC except for Ellembele.

Interesting: CNN relatively fast reaction, to complaints! Power to the People! Yeaaaa!

The Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) has taken a swipe at American news agency Cable News Network (CNN), describing their misleading reports in the aftermath of Ghana’s elections as a “bad piece of journalism”.

A day later: CNN was forced, by the power of the people, to amend their fake story, of Dec 11, about Ghana!

CNN was forced to amend the story after some Ghanaians launched a #CNNGetItRight campaign on social media.

The international media organisation reported that Ghanaians queued to buy food and struggled to purchase basic services during and after the polls...
