“We were here when our officials from the collation center came here to inform and assure the president that as opposed to the reports across platforms that the opposition is leading is different from what is going on at the collation center”.
“It is the EC that is authorized to announce results. Results we have collated shows that NDC is in the comfortable lead. Though the parliamentary outcome indeed shows we lost some seats but we had two elections, we have the parliamentary and the presidential so we are positive that we will triumph in the presidential election” the party bigwig averred.
Alfred Nii Okoe Vandajuijie who was also at the President’s residence with other supporters noted that they have all gathered in unity, and readiness to await the EC declaration of results which he is confident will go in NDC’s favour. “We are here in a jubilant mood and keeping hope alive as we wait for the final results” the MP who retain his seat in the Odododiodio Constituency intimated. “Reports we are getting from the collation center is promising so we are eagerly waiting for the outcome” he said.
However, according to Ghanaweb, the President has come out to say that should the opposition NPP be declared winner of this year's presidential polls, he will accept the results.
