“We’ll not allow them to disgrace Mahama a second time. We’ve vowed to let these small boys know that there are elders in NDC with vast political experience and they’ll manage our future flagbearer. We have the likes of Kojo Tsikata, Ato Ahwoi, Totobi Kwakye, Iddrisu Mahama and Issifu Ali, these are the people who will work with our next leader. As for these small boys, we’ll fight them. Politics is no child‘s play”,
Source: kasapafmonline. com - Former National Organizer of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) Yaw Boateng Gyan has said he and other elders of the party have vowed to resist any attempt to allow persons he describes as “small boys” to manage President John Mahama if he should be elected as the Flagbearer of the NDC in the future.
According to him, these small boys who have no political experiece were allowed too much space and authority to ran the show around the President, which contributed to the painful defeat of the NDC in the December 7 polls.

The NDC lost last Wednesday’s general polls, both Presidential and Parliamentary in an election that the party was so confident of winning, due to the massive infrastructural development carried out by President John Mahama in his first term of office.

But on Friday, December 9, 2016, the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Charlotte Osei, declared the NPP’s presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo winner and President-elect of the Republic of Ghana.

The opposition leader polled 5,716, 026 votes to beat the incumbent President John Dramani Mahama who garnered 4,713,277 votes out of the 10,615,361 valid votes cast.

The NDC’s painful defeat suffered at the hands of its arch political opponent has caused some angry and disappointed members including former Ejusi Juaben, Municipal Chief Executive to mention names of certain key party and government officials whose actions and inactions they claim caused the NDC’s downfall.

Young men such as Minister of Communications, Dr Omane Boamah and Stan Dogbe have been mentioned by party members as persons who have surrounded the President and continue block access to the President and giving him false information to keep their positions.

Speaking to Kasapa News, Mr Yaw Boateng Gyan who’s also a former Presidential Staffer, stated that henceforth only veteran politicians will manage the NDC’s future Flagbearer.

“President Mahama is the most marketed person in NDC and if he’ll come back as the Flagbearer, he will not come with those small boys. We’ll not allow those small boys to surround and manage him again. Stan Dogbe and the rest who have no political experience but yet managed President Mahama let the NDC down in this election.”

He added: “We’ll not allow them to disgrace Mahama a second time.
