Source: Daily Guide Ghana - The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) government will relinquish political power and head for opposition in 2016 due to their bad governance, according to a top New Patriotic Party (NPP) man in Kumasi.
Edmund Kyei, who is the Asokwa Constituency NPP Communications Director, stated that there are clear signs on the wall that the electorates would use the power of their thumbs to kick the NDC out of office, next year.
He said the citizenry had been impoverished to the extent that excessive hardship, strangely, has now been accepted as the Ghanaian’s mode of life.
Speaking in an interview with DAILY GUIDE, Mr. Kyei said defeat is now starring at NDC, stressing that nothing would save the NDC from losing political power to the NPP during the 2016 polls.
He mentioned high cost of living, unstable Ghanaian currency, dramatic decline of agricultural production and the rapid collapse of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) as some of the bad deeds of the NDC government.
Again, he said dubious payments of judgment debt by the government to its cronies, cancellation of teachers and nurses training allowances and the energy crisis are some of the things the NDC government would be remembered for.
Mr. Kyei noted that excessive borrowing by government and the gargantuan increase of water and power tariffs, among other bad deeds of the government, would send the NDC to opposition in 2016.
He said aside being incompetent, the President Mahama administration is also heartless for the continuous implementation of policies and programmes that worsen the people’s economic woes.
According to him, Ghanaians, including even some NDC members, are now fed up with the lackadaisical manner at which the sitting government was destroying the country so they would vote the NDC out of office, next year.
Mr. Kyei urged Ghanaians to exercise patience in the midst of the deplorable manner at which the state was being governed by the NDC, assuring them that Nana Akufo-Addo would save them from their troubles in 2016.
