NPP will win 2016 polls – Mac Manu

Source: Daily Guide Africa - Peter Mac Manu, Campaign Manager of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has affirmed that majority of the Ghanaian electorate are resolute to vote massively for the NPP and make Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo the next president of Ghana.
“NPP is coming back to power and nobody, whether the Electoral Commission, the police or gangsters, can stop the NPP from clinching victory in the country’s upcoming general election,” the NPP campaign manager stressed.

He continued, “I am saying this because wherever I have been to in the country, majority of the people are determined to vote for the NPP; and the voice of the people is the voice of God and no one can stand in the way of God.”

Mr Mac Manu was addressing members of the Takoradi Polytechnic (T-Poly) chapter of the Tertiary Education Students Confederacy (TESCON) of the NPP during the handing over ceremony of the old T-Poly TESCON executives to the incoming ones.

He noted that Ghanaians had been plunged into a state of discomfort and distress by the current government and that they could not afford another four years of long suffering under the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).

NDC Gurus Concede

He stated, “It is therefore of no surprise that kingpins of the ruling NDC in their private conversations on various social media discuss among themselves that the NDC is likely to lose but they dare not come out publicly to say it.”

.
Mr Mac Manu indicated that even though he had been receiving a series of calls from all over about certain alleged machinations of the NDC to rig the elections, he was not perturbed because Ghanaians had made up their minds to vote massively for change.

He indicated that it was appalling to note that activists of the NDC kept on saying that the NPP did not have any message and were demanding the NPP manifesto for the election.

“This year’s election is not about the NPP message but the eight-year rule of the NDC. The ruling party should tell Ghanaians what they have done to improve the people’s living conditions for the past eight years,” he said.

He explained that the NPP would soon come out with its manifesto but stressed that there was no need to rush so that the NDC could copy as the ruling party did in the case of the NPP’s free senior high school policy.

For his part, Sammy Awuku, the National Youth Organiser of the NPP, claimed that the ground was fertile for the NPP to snatch power from the NDC but admitted that it was not going to be an easy task.

He indicated that the quest for power demanded hard work, commitment and dedication by every member of the party, especially the youth, to ensure that power was indeed delivered to the NPP.

“As TESCON members, I expect you to mobilise the students on campus and conscientise them on the need to vote for change in this year’s election since this year’s poll is about their future,” he added.

Present were Mike Oquaye Jnr, Deputy Communication Director of the NPP, Mr Wilson Arthur, the party’s parliamentary candidate for Wassa East, Andrew Agyapa Mercer, NPP’s parliamentary candidate for Sekondi, as well as other regional executives of the party.

I beg to differ. People must be circumspect. If you've never been to other peoples farms, do yet reckon you are the best farmer. The NPP presently is not the most attractive Opposition outfit. There are others with better credentials and track record whose legacies speak volumes for them, yet they're not shouting on roof tops. NPP is gradually shooting themselves in the foot. They will come to their full senses after the results are declared and their fortunes had dwindled to the lowest ebb. They better do some soul searching to correct the misdeeds of the past since 1951. Are they not the same people who sent a delegation to the UK that Ghana was not ready for independence? Please learn to be reasonable for a while. Ghanaians are not cheap minds. Mr. Manu, you don't sound convincing.
