You have had 34 years of political power and unbridled privilege -1992 to 2016, which is a lot in any man's life but look at Bole Bamboi today. They have no clean water to drink, no electricity, no good schools, no decent toilets nor good health post or hospital, no factory, no University, good road network with people suffering marked impoverishment.
Open letter by Kofi Freeman Amponsa-Dadzie - INSHA ALLAH...this matter is difficult to comprehend and will need Mathematicians to solve it.
In 2008 you became Running Mate and was even compared to Obama. In this 2016 elections the US Vice President refused to contest in the Primaries because he has had enough of the Presidency. You were in power at the same time. What else?
In 2009, President Atta Mills went to South Africa and later China whereas you acted as President. When the NDC government decided to use the Oil to borrow money 25 years ahead and the opposing parties complained you said it was baloney for us to defy you as our elected President with mandate to act on our behalf.
From 2009 to mid-2012 President Atta Mills struggled with his Cancer and spent most of the time travelling to Nigeria, South Africa, Europe and USA for treatment.
You acted as our substantive president in all these times signing agreements on his behalf. President Atta Mills was only there in name as you John Mahama travelled around the world in the Presidential plane to represent the country in Presidential capacity.

The Constitution requires that no one should be President for more than 8 years, but you are on the threshold of causing a breach of this provision. Why? You were finally sworn in as President when Prof. Atta Mills died in mid 2012. You ruled us from that time to the last elections when you won and continued with your Presidency. If, God forbids, you win the elections again you will rule for another 4 years. By the end of this term in 2020 you would have ruled Ghana for more than 8 years, which contravenes the supreme law. It's an abomination, then!
A day in politics is long enough but you want to be President for more than 8 years. Is it not a breach of the constitution, I always wonder! You, are one of our longest serving politicians of all time. You were born into a political authority, as a son of Minister of Northern Region, where you enjoyed it's privileges as a child from 1958 to 1966 - that is 8 good years of pampering in the Northern Regional Office with its litany of servants and labourers to serve you at a sound of a bell. You were so angry about the loss of your privileged life in 1966 that you wrote a book about it aptly titled "My First Coup Detat", published by celebrity Gay Lord Andrew Solomon.
Now, to recapture your lost glorious lifestyle in politics of privilege, you became a Member of Damongo or Bole District Assembly between 1992 and 1996. You were then elected as Member of Parliament in 1996, and became a Deputy Minister. You were re-elected in 2000 when your Party lost elections. As if that is not enough you won again in 2004 and became ever present Spokesman of the Opposition with your obscurantist views in the media and Parliament. You held the Capitation Grant of your Constituency for 12 good years with nothing to show in the Bole-Bamboi Constituency to date.
Then in 2008 you contested the National Election not as MP but as vice-PRESIDENT, where you debated with our Dr Bawumia...and then 2012 and now 2016 seeking to be President of Ghana up to 2020, with all your embarrassing mediocre ability in a country endowed with people with finer brains and mercurial talents than you.
Since 1992, John Dramani Mahama has been paid by the State: as District Assemblyman, MP, Veep and President for good 24 years. You get all the privileges that comes with these political positions. Add this to your first 8 years in your father's house where, as you wrote in your celebrated book, only your household had lights in the whole town and beyond.
You had Free Education from Primary through Secondary to University plus Free Scholarship for your Masters Degree in Russia or so. You have had 34 years of political power and unbridled privilege -1992 to 2016, which is a lot in any man's life but look at Bole Bamboi today. As a President you have cost us a lot of money with the dissipation of our newly discovered oil revenues, in addition to collateralising the asset to borrow 25 years ahead, as well as incurring high levels of borrowing from local and international sources with Shylock interest said to reach over 100 billion mark. In normal Cedi terms, our DEBTS will be written as 100,000,000,000,000,000.00 CEDIS!
What do you then want again from us in your life, John Mahama? You are a very poor leader, highly corrupt, morally shot to pieces with your ministers and appointees involved in free flowing corruptive acts unseen in the annals of the country's history.
You have resorted to "Pork Barrel" Politics of commissioning cost-inflated fantablous phantom phoney projects as you leave important work behind on your Presidential desk, and run around the country non stop on the gravy train in such old fashioned convoy of cars and planes, over and over again because you want more, more political power claiming you have not had enough....and bending over backwards with your appointed Nigerian Electoral Commission to rig the elections against the threat of troubles. You look tired, 'weary and languished and sore distressed' as Charles Wesley sings.
In my lifetime on earth Ghana has had strange macabre poor leadership that has rendered us poor, wretched and destitute. It's a very sad tragedy to behold. May God bless Ghana!
