Kwahu Aprahwem pupils forced to swim to school

Source: adomonline. com -Pupils of Kwahu Aprahwem primary and Junior High school in the Kwahu West Municipal of the Eastern Region have been forced to swim to school anytime it rains.

According to reports, a bridge on the river between Aprahwem and Kofi Dede has broken and efforts to get it repaired have proven futile.

This, residents say, have made crossing of the river to other towns difficult especially when it rains.

Source: citifmonline. com -President John Dramani Mahama’s meeting with fisherfolk in the Western Region on Tuesday, was disrupted for a few minutes after the auditorium the event was being held experienced a power outage.

The event, which forms part of the President’s ‘Accounting to the people’ tour, was taking place at the GNAT Hall at Fijai in Takoradi.

Mahama transforming lives negatively – Konadu

A former first lady of Ghana Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings has laughed off President John Mahama’s campaign tagline of ‘transforming lives for a better Ghana’.

According to her, there is nothing to show under the watch of Mahama to prove that the lives of Ghanaians have been transformed.

“You are transforming our lives into the negative. It’s not positive… We’re being killed in this country,” Nana Konadu told Starrfmonline. com.

State serves notice to discontinue case against 3 SA ex-cops

The state has served notice not to pursue the case against the three retired South African policemen who have been deported for organising illegal military training.

A notice dated March 29, 2016 and addressed to the Circuit Court registry stated: “Take notice that the state intends that the proceedings against the accused persons Ahmed Shaik Hazis, Denver Dwayhe and Mlungiseli Jokani – shall not continue.”
